3. Product Catalogue Data

Product information displayed on our platform is sourced from our retail partners through authorised channels and is used solely to enable you to browse and select products. We do not collect or store personal data belonging to those partners' other customers.

4. Sharing of Information

We share information only as necessary to fulfil your order — with freight forwarders, customs brokers and delivery partners. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, restrict access to authorised personnel, and follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil orders, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Cached catalogue data is refreshed regularly and not retained long-term.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the VerteMarket platform, operated by Verte Investments (Pty) Ltd. By using our platform you agree to these terms.

1. Our Role — Independent Purchasing Agent

VerteMarket acts as an independent purchasing agent and logistics facilitator. When you place an order, you authorise us to procure the specified products on your behalf from third-party retail platforms, and to arrange their export, customs clearance and delivery to you in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

2. Pricing

Prices displayed are all-in landed costs and include the product price plus shipment costs (freight, insurance, duties, import taxes, customs clearing and handling) and our service fee. Prices are shown in USD with a Congolese Franc equivalent and may change based on source availability and exchange rates at the time of order.

3. Orders & Payment

Payment is collected at the time of order. We accept mobile money, bank transfer and other listed methods. Your order is confirmed once payment clears.

4. Delivery

Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed, as cross-border logistics and customs processing can vary. We will keep you informed of your order status throughout.

5. Returns & Disputes

As your purchasing agent, returns are subject to the policies of the source platform and the practicalities of cross-border logistics. We will assist with eligible returns, damaged goods and disputes on a case-by-case basis. Specific terms are provided at checkout.

6. Limitation of Liability

We act diligently as your agent but are not liable for delays, losses or damages outside our reasonable control, including customs actions, carrier delays or source-platform stock changes.

7. Prohibited Items

We do not procure goods that are illegal to import into the DRC, restricted by source platforms for resale, or otherwise prohibited by law.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, where Verte Investments (Pty) Ltd is registered.
